Recently, I put up some checklist printables in my Etsy shop and decided that I wanted to share with you guys how to DIY tear off notepads for checklists and notes.
How Checklists Help with Productivity
This depends on how you work. If you tend to get distracted and struggle keeping up with tasks, checklists can be very useful.
For instance, if you need help timing your tasks, you can write down each task with a specified time start, and when the time comes, you begin your task. When the time for the next task comes, you stop your previous task and begin the next one.
You can also use checklists to help prioritize which tasks are most important and/or require the most amount of time.
For tasks that you need to complete ASAP, put those at the top and the less urgent ones at the bottom.
If you like to knock out tasks that take the least amount of time to complete first, place those at the top and the more demanding tasks underneath.
However you use them, checklists can really help keep you and your tasks in CHECK. Hehe, see what I did there? :)
How to DIY Tear Off Notepads
I completed this project in a couple of hours (includes cutting, organizing and drying time). This tutorial is very simple to follow and does not require much time or money, so you can get to creating your first tear off notepad right away.
Things You’ll Need:
Mod Podge - I used the Lustre type, but other types work well
Small brush or popsicle stick
Papers that you want to put in your tear off notepad
Cut your papers to size.
Make sure they are all aligned and packed tightly at the top and sides.
Clip the sides close to the top with binder clips. I used folded paper under the binder clips to limit the clips making an impression on my notepad (didn’t work too well, because my binder clips are like superman strong…but that’s okay).
Work on top of a paper towel or piece of scrap paper to limit spills and oopsies.
Dip brush or popsicle stick into the Mod Podge and apply a THIN coat to the top of your notepad. Be sure to press the glue down to get between the sheets of paper.
Apply a little bit down the sides towards the binder clips - just a little bit.
Let dry for 20-30 minutes and repeat 3 times.
Enjoy your DIY Tear Off Notepad!
